First try. On a Drilling Rig Offshore Bintulu.

It has suddenly struck me that I wanted to blog. Just suddenly. Well here goes nothing.

This blog is for everything that involves around me and maybe the story of my life. I'll try not to expose my private life here, but sometimes there's a limit, and limitation is subjective.

I'm on a drilling rig named West Janus, currently located offshore Bintulu. Operation has certainly slowed down since the well has already suspended. Next, they will move the rig somewhere 50m to the north (is it??) to allow a platform to be installed on the current site.

At the time of writing, I am waiting for my chopper which is approximately 18hours away. Haha, waiting? you might ask but I'm actually trying to kill time. I have had very good sleep these past few days. Compared to when I arrived here a week ago, time is not in our favour. We were running here and there. It had been a long time since I set foot on West Janus. I am a jumper. Nobody cares. Not me. I'm at your service. Period. At least for the time being haha.

Was working 12 hours each with my colleague when he suddenly received a call from home in the middle of the night. He had to go back the next morning as his one-year old daughter had burns, in feat to climb up the kettle's wire. Imagine the worst. Yes.

To make thing bad, the scheduled chopper to arrive at 9.30 am was delayed to 3.35pm because of some communications gear. Off course, he missed his flight back home to Kuala Lumpur. To add salt to the injury, when I called him tomorrow morning at 11.30am, he was still in Bintulu Airport. Turned out the Airasia flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bintulu @ 9.30 am were also delayed, I didn't kow why, and I doubt my friend knows why too.

Well, I feel sorry for him. Let's pray for a speedy recovery.

p/s - when you really badly needs to get home, that is the time you should calm yourself down.
